VIDEOS!

Lisa and I take a LOT of video of Miss Girl (Miss Girl is the name that Lisa coined for Claire and it stuck). Now that she is old enough to laugh, the videos that I take are no more than a patheic attempt to make her laugh so that I can document her cuteness for future generations (Grandmothers seem to like it, too).

Speaking of pathetic ... Claire basically has her dad wrapped around her little finger. When I get home and we make eye contact, she gives me a big smile and kicks her legs like she's jumping (Lisa's reaction is slightly less emphatic, but I'm pretty sure that she's happy to see me, too). That never gets old.

(I just noticed that half of this blog is me narrating my own thoughts in italics ... weird)

She's such a good little girl and I'm so grateful that Lisa put her career on hold to be a mother. Her decision to put Claire first has brought order to our home and will pay dividends to Claire for the rest of her life.

Swimming at Grandmom & Pop-Pop's

We drove to Houston this weekend to visit Grandmom and Pop-Pop and Aunt Alli...and of course to go swimming! Claire just loves the water. We also got to see our friends Mike and Courtney and their kids Cate and Brett. It was a really fun weekend and we can't wait to do it again...just wish we had a pool of our own...

I can sit up!

Claire decided to learn how to sit up practically overnight. She is getting to be such a big girl and we are very proud of her. Here are some pic of her petting Athena too. She loves her dogs and laughs her head off when they play with a toy! And good thing they love her too...they don't even mind when she grabs their ears and won't let go or pulls chunks of their hair out!

Food!

We started feeding solid foods to Claire about a month ago. I have yet to find a fruit or veggie she doesn't like...she takes after her Dad on this one...
