Pretty Day

We enjoyed a gorgeous Saturday as a family this weekend. The weather was perfect, there was college football on tv, the girls were in a great mood all day, we made paper bag monsters and Brad grilled dinner for us! Just one of those lazy days that turn out to be great!

How to Catch a Fairie

Claire loves the Tinkerbell movies (if you haven't seen them there are three of them and they are pretty fun). In the third movie a little girl builds a house to catch fairies in with some items from around the house...so on a rainy day a few days ago I decided that that could be a project for Claire and me. I have zero creativity so I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but we had so much fun making it!

First day of school and Bride

Claire started back at Mother's Day Out this week. She was so ready (and so was I). she really loves school and seeing her friends. It rained HARD yesterday so we were stuck inside...I let her play with my wedding veil and shoes...the dress is too big and heavy for her right now. She loved it and didn't want to take it off. Aubrey was content jumping and watching her crazy sister! I plan on displaying one of these at Claire's wedding some day.

Dance class and reading and Tech, oh my!

Busy week! Claire started ballet/tap class with her friend Isabella! She LOVES it and told everyone she saw that she had a beautiful dress and that she is a ballerina. I have a feeling this will be worth every penny. I caught Claire reading to AJ and it made me smile. Love them! And of course I could not resist dressing them in their tech cheerleader outfits for some pictures.

Little Stinker

This girl has stressed me out from day one. Shortly after I found out I was pregnant, I experienced some bleeding. I remember crying because I was scared. Then came the constant nausea...I threw up every morning from week 7 to week 23. I passed out at the park while I was pregnant. I found out at week 39 1/2 that she had flipped and was breech, so I had a C-section. Then my tiny girl gave us a scare last week with our trip to the hospital to check out her brain. After all of this..she is just fine. And her smile melts my heart. I have a feeling she has many more surprises for me in the future...but I wouldn't change a thing. She's my Aubrey!

Recent Pics

Here are some random pictures from the past few weeks. It has been so hot outside that we have been stuck at the house a lot. Claire starts MDO in September so until then I am trying to keep her busy. We have had lots of birthday parties to go to so that helps! Aubrey turned 6 months old on the 17th! She is such a happy baby and she still loves Claire more than anything! She is now in the 10th % for all her measurements so that was good news. She can sit without support for short periods of time, she smiles and laughs all day, she plays with and grasps toys and she is eating solid foods now! She has no desire to roll over though, and that concerned her Dr. enough to suggest we get her brain checked out. We have a sonogram scheduled for Monday at Cook Children's in Ft. Worth. I am trying to stay calm and tell myself that she is just doing things at her own pace. But I admit I am nervous. I just want her to be healthy! I will update soon with the results...we probably won't know anything for a few days. Please keep her in your prayers!

Wonderland Adventure

If anyone is looking for something cheap and cool to do this summer, go to the Gaylord Texan for the Alice in Wonderland Adventure. When Brad got home from work on Friday we loaded up the girls to check it out. It was so much fun!!! The only thing we paid for was parking and some snacks. Claire loved the characters who were walking around. She asked the balloon guy to make her a butterfly. Aubrey had even more fun I think. She babbled and squealed the whole time and just smiled at everything. I recommend it to anyone...there was a puppet show, a maze and a tea party with the Mad Hatter, but that costs extra. If you check them out let me know how it was and maybe we will go back!
