Claire LOVED the science Spectrum. Brad and I skipped classes one day when we were in college to go play at the Science Spectrum...who knew we would be taking our daughter there 10 years later! I've never seen her play so hard for so long. I kept saying "this is the best $15 I've ever spent!" I love that she's not shy...there were about 8 bus loads of school kids and she held her own with the big kids...fearless. We've decided we need to get her a slide. She spent an hour playing on one. She also liked the dinosaur and the fish. The other pictures are from the rest of our time there!

Visiting Mimi
We left for Lubbock last Tuesday when we got the news that Brad's Mom was not doing well and was given only days to weeks to live. We were able to enjoy six days with her and the rest of the family. Although she was very tired and uncomfortable, she was able to enjoy her time with her grandchildren. We got to meet our new nephew Daniel, and Claire was able to get out and play while we were there! We took her to the Science Spectrum, the park, out to eat, the church playground and anywhere else where she could wear herself out! It was very hard to say goodbye but we are thankful for these special moments we got to have with her.

Our Weekend
No pictures with this post...can you believe it?! We were supposed to go to Longview this weekend to meet our new nephew Daniel who was adopted by Brad's sister and her husband. But Claire came down with a cold and the last thing I wanted to do was get the baby sick. I now have the same cold and have been lying around since last night like a slug. Luckily Claire is pretty good at entertaining herself. Anyways, we will meet baby Daniel soon! On Sat. Brad took the shelves and drawers out of the fridge and scrubbed it down until it looked like new! I'm surprised we didn't all have food poisoning...that thing was nasty!!! We went to Brad's church yesterday and for the very first time we dropped Claire off at the nursery. She did great! She wasn't scared when we left. When we picked her up she was crying, but the lady said she was great the whole time and just started crying when her friends were leaving. In the afternoon we went to Ft. Worth for the art festival. Brad and I have gone 3 times before...it's so nice to walk around and look at all the great art. And here is the bonus...there was a band that looked and sounded like the Beatles playing!!! They were called "Me and My Monkey" and they were great. We stopped to watch them for awhile and Claire danced and clapped! Count this as my 6th time to see a band that looks and sounds like the Beatles. So now Claire and I are recovering from our colds and getting ready for Brad's birthday this weekend!

Spring Fashion Show
Spring is here so once again it is time for another fashion show! I kinda felt like a pageant Mom this time because Claire clearly wasn't into it and I was forcing the fun. But she has so many cute outfits and I had to try and capture her in a few of my favorites...

Here come the dogs! (you should have heard the sounds I was making to get her to smile...no wonder they came running...)

Easter Egg Hunt
Today we had an Easter egg hunt with our friends from Stroller Strides! It was so fun to watch the kids find the eggs we hid around the playground! Claire didn't quite grasp the concept of putting the eggs in her basket but she was able to find some eggs on her own. Afterwards some of us went to lunch and I had to carry Claire in because she was sound asleep from all the excitement!
